Sweater: Banana Republic
Skirt: Francesca’s, similar at Forever 21
Shoes: Sam Edelman, similar at J. Crew
Unfortunately, the words “for” and “to” are very different here. Instead of going “to” the Oscars in an amazing Elie Saab or Jenny Packham dress, I decided to channel the awards show into my normal day wardrobe. I picked up the beaded skirt at Francesca’s last week and I’ve had the shoes for a while. I had been wanting them for so long, but they were too expensive…until I found them on sale at Marshalls for $23 last summer!
I think my favorite Oscar outfits, along with about everyone else, were Lupita’s, JLo’s (A little too much cleavage for my liking, though), and Emma Stone’s. I’ll always be a fan of sparkly, beaded dresses.
As for the show itself, the only movie I had seen, I think out of all of them, was Grand Budapest Hotel. I loved it and was happy to see it win a few awards. I’ve been slowly making my way through all of Wes Anderson’s movies for the past few years. I hadn’t seen anything by him until Moonrise Kingdom and then I became a bit obsessed.
For performances, I was blown away by Lada Gaga. Who knew she had that voice!?
I hope you guys enjoyed the show and this post!
