I turned 21 on Tuesday and went out with friends and family. My friend Meg made me a checklist/scavenger hunt-like list of things to do on my night out. They included a Cinderella picture at midnight (missing a shoe on the stairs), a piggy back ride from one bar to the next, and 21 signatures from strangers, just to name a few.

The next day I spur-of-the-moment decided to go to Martha’s Vineyard with my brother to visit Meg. I had never been, and it was so cool! Everything is very small and almost feels like Disney World or something. It was the off-season, which meant that it wasn’t crowded, but also that almost nothing is open late. We decided to get dinner around 11, so there was only one place open on the island.

We called to make sure it was open and then walked there only to find it very dark and closed looking. After about an hour of driving around we went back and discovered that we had gone to the gift shop, not the restaurant, and that if we had walked just a hundred yards down the street we would have found the open restaurant. We made it in time and were able to get dinner but it was a long process, haha.

Yesterday was my friend Maddie’s wedding. She got married at the top of a mountain. We all met up in the morning and hiked up together. All week the weather had been calling for rain, but that morning the sun came out and the clouds went away. It was perfect! The ceremony was beautiful, it could not have gone better. Afterward we went to Maddie’s house for a lovely meal and backyard games.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week!
