The Hundred Acre Wood

Dress: DIY pattern here, fabric here
Shoes: American Eagle

I’ve made another one of the same dress. I just love it so much, I’ve worn it three days in a row (it’s in the wash now). It’s so comfortable but still feels stylish, and the fabric is meant for curtains, so it has a great weight to it.

I went on a walk through the woods/disc golf course with my dad, brother, and some friends the other night and my friend Cait snapped these pics. I really love how the background looks…very dreamy and whimsical. At least I think so.

I was wearing shorts underneath, which made this a more appropriate trot-through-the-woods outfit.

I hope you all had a great weekend and Happy Father’s Day!

Aww that’s such a cute dress! Looks like you all had a good time. Next photo shoot, get some detail shots so we can see how you constructed the garment 🙂 always interesting for us sewists.

Thank you so much! I’m actually working on the same dress in another fabric, so maybe I’ll do a whole post on it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Awesome! Its always a great feeling to find a pattern that works well. They can be hard to find.
