Kimono: H&M, similar at Nordstrom
Hello Party People,
JK, you’re not partying, you’re reading my blog. Unless you’re at a party while rummaging through the internet, in which case, I feel ya. Alessia Cara’s new single Here is my jam.
Anyway, I’m not entirely sure what I want to talk about here.
I had a two hour phone conversation with my college roommate last night and it reminded me of how nice it is to pour your feelings out to someone.
When we dormed together, we used to stay up until three a.m. having these deep conversations. We would lay in our separate beds and talk about everything for hours. It was like as soon as the lights went out we were free to say whatever we wanted.
Even if we were rehashing a conversation for the twentieth time, it didn’t matter because each it was important in that moment.
Talking to her last night made me realize how much we both have changed in the past four and a half years. But at the same time, we’ve still maintained our core selves. We each became more confident. We’ve gone on to pursue our dreams, but we’re also dealing with a lot of the same things we were four years ago.
Life moves forward, and I’m glad I have a great group of friends and family who are along for the ride.
~Kelsey
PS: I just bought that kimono on sale at H&M, so it should still be in some stores.
