The hippie bun, the half top knot, that stupid thing on your head…whatever you want to call it, it’s here and I like it. I’ve been seeing this hair style floating around the internet for a few years now, but had been hesitant to wear it until recently. I had tried it out a few months ago but felt like an idiot and nixed it. Then last week I gave it another go, and decided that I actually really like it. It keeps my hair out of my face and gives me a little volume. Will I look back in two years and ask myself, “What was I thinking!?” Possibly. Probably.
But for now, I am going to rock it!
As for the outfit, I got this kimono on Amazon for $6, and these jeans are from my birthday, but I just got them hemmed. I obviously had to cut about six inches off the bottom. Such is the life of a short girl.
In terms of life events, I signed the lease on my first apartment on Monday! I am super excited. The apartment is so cool and in a good neighborhood near Boston. The apartment itself is just a one bedroom, with a living room, small kitchen and a bathroom. But it’s in an old building that I think used to be offices. It has high ceilings, hardwood floors, and tall doors with transom windows. My bedroom door even has a glass doorknob!
I can’t wait to show you how I decorate! I’m sure I will be doing some home decor posts soon. I’ve already started making DIY wall art.
