Sweater: Forever 21
Pants: American Eagle
Boots: H&M

I wore this on Veterans’ Day when I went to the soldiers’ home with my mom, aunts, and grandma to see my grandpa. It was nice to see how proud all of the veterans were and to be reminded of what the day is really about. There was one man who was in a wheelchair, but every time people were asked to stand, he insisted on standing up. My mom helped him stay up; His legs were shaking from effort, but he refused to sit. It was really touching and inspiring to see how much he cared for his service and the service of others.

I still knew all the words to the military song medley from my elementary school days in chorus.

This is the first pair of black jeans I’ve had since high school. I really like them. The rise is a bit higher than most AE jeans, which I find more comfortable and more flattering. I managed to find my size in the “short” length, so they’re actually not too long!

They did, however, turn my legs and hands grey the first day I wore them. I hadn’t washed them yet, so the dye was rubbing off. I wore them again today after washing them, and I didn’t have any problems. There is a tag on the jeans warning about this, so I don’t know if I want to take the chance of wearing them with light colored shoes.

I hope you’re all having a fabulous week!
