I’ve come to the point in the season where I try to start wearing spring things, hoping that my wardrobe will somehow convince weather that it’s time to move on. Instead, it snowed today.
In reality we probably have two more months of winter- or more. I usually don’t feel safe that the frosty temperatures are gone until mid June. I’ve become very distrustful of the weather since going to college and having to walk twenty minutes across campus to get, literally, anywhere.
I’ve given up on finding the ever-elusive perfect oversized sweater that is so ubiquitous on tumblr, I’ve realized that winter is too cold for tights, and I’ve ruled out wearing half my wardrobe due to excessive amounts of static cling.
Today I brought out one of my favorite outfits from last summer: boyfriend jeans and a pretty lace top. I mean, when in doubt wear a lace top. I forgot how comfortable these jeans are- or I guess how comfortable loose jeans are. Most of my jeans seem to have gotten a bit too snug this winter and I always dread wearing them.
I had a nice day visiting family and working on an article about Lorde for my school’s Her Campus website. My friend and I joined last week and this was our first time submitting articles. It was nerve-wracking and exciting at the same time. I’ll try and post it on here when it gets published.
