Blue Jean Baby

Jacket: Blank NYC | Jeans: Urban Outfitters | Shirt: City & Colour | Boots: Target (old) similar at Charlotte Russe

So I didn’t wind up getting pictures of my NYE outfit like I was hoping in my last post, but I wound up enjoying the party instead, so I wasn’t too upset about it.

Right before I got sick last week I made a trip to Urban Outfitters to buy non-boyfriend jeans for the first time in years. I used to wear skinny jeans all the time, but once I discovered leggings they migrated to the “never wear” pile. Recently though, I’ve been feeling schlumpy wearing leggings and long shirts every day. I needed something to shake it up.

These jeans are pretty perfect. They’re cropped, which means they hit me at a normal person length (Yay! This never happens!). They’re also high waisted and thick denim but with a bit of stretch. And they’re not too tight. Wow, never thought I’d be waxing poetic about a pair of jeans like this.

Anyway, this was a fun weekend. On Friday I went out to dinner with two of my girlfriends that I hadn’t seen in a while. It was so nice to go just be together and laugh like we did in college. After dinner we drove around Quincy, overlooking the illuminated Boston skyline, and went to the original Dunkin Donuts. I got a stale chocolate frosted from the two heavily Boston accented employees, who spent a full minute bitching to each other before taking our orders. We sat at the counter and chatted, but not longer than 20 minutes because they had a sign up saying that was the time limit. 😂 It was the most perfectly fitting DD experience.

On Saturday I worked at a Crompton and then would up getting snow bound in Worcester. I stayed over Amy’s house and we had a girls night, eating food and watching almost an entire season of One Tree Hill.

Today was spent cleaning up my apartment, running errands, and having a quick lunch date with Sarah and her sister.

I hope you all had a great weekend!
