I’m Kelsey Bosselait. I’m a 21 year old student getting degrees in marketing and English.

I started this blog, formerly known as The Look on Less, in the summer of 2013 as a way to be creative and get a bit into the world of fashion.

I was inspired to start by blog by two things:

First, Evelina, of the Youtube world posted a video about defining personal style and one of her tips was to start a blog just for yourself, to track your own personal fashion. I liked thinking about it in that way, as a thing for myself, that didn’t matter how many views it got or who saw it.

Second, Free People, my most favorite clothing brand ever posted a job position as a content producer for their blog. If that isn’t a dream job, then I don’t know what is. The position required two years of experience blogging, so that was the thing that really pushed me to take the plunge.

I didn’t tell anyone for the few weeks, not even my mom, which is really crazy because I tell her everything. I was still embarrassed about it, but as I got used to it, I began to share it with my family and friends and I’m so glad I did. They are my biggest fans and the best support system. My mom is always on me when I don’t post for a while.

About the name change, as you’ve probably noticed, the blog you’re reading is not called The Look on Less. About six months in I decided that it just wasn’t representing me well, and thus The Bohemian Dreamer was born, or reborn I guess. If you want the whole story you can read this post.

I’ve had so much fun working on this and I can’t wait to see where it goes!

  1. I can totally understand the feelings of embarrassment about starting a blog – I’m still grappling with shyness/but still wanted to share my blog 🙂 Thanks for being open about that! Lovely blog.

    • Thank you so much for your sweet comments! I will definitely check out your blog. Good luck, it definitely gets easier once it becomes a part of your life rather than something new and weird.
