Lighter Days {My New Hair}

Here’s a before for comparison.

I have been talking about going blonde for two years and I’ve finally done it!

It was a sort of spur-of-the-moment decision, in that I didn’t think about it for three weeks in advance. I couldn’t sleep two nights ago and I was thinking about how I’ve been saying I’m going to go blonde “one day” for so long and why haven’t I done it yet. So, the next day I made the appointment and today I got it done.

I’m really happy with how it turned out. I was afraid of breakage, brassiness, streakiness, or even not enough of a change, but it all worked out really well! I’m still getting used to it, and it’s a little weird every time I catch myself in the mirror, but I think I will love it in a few days. I also haven’t styled it myself yet, it’s still straight from the salon, which is weird for me to begin with.

In other hairy news, here is my dog before his bath today. He had a great romp in the mud:
