I wore this to work yesterday. I got the jacket for Christmas and I was very excited about it. It’s a pretty amazing Forever 21 find, given that it is real suede and was in the sale room for only $40. I had tried it on a few weeks ago and decided not to buy it, but I went to the mall last week with my mom and she picked it up for me (thanks, mom!). It made the dress I’ve been wearing at least once a week for the past month or two look a little updated.
Yesterday was the day of a thousand returns at work. I thought the pre-Christmas shopping period was bad, but it turns out returns season is about ten times worse. There are the same number of shoppers, but everyone is returning their presents and no one has tags or receipts, so each transaction takes forever. We had a line that was ten to fifteen people long for five hours straight. And that was with seven cashiers!
This morning my mom and I watched Roman Holiday as part of my excitement for my trip to Italy. I leave in less than a week! It’s crazy to think that I’m going to be at the same fountain the Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck filmed in front of. The entire thing was shot on location in Italy, instead of on a sound stage in Hollywood. The director, William Wyler demanded that they shoot it there, and consequently they gave him a much smaller budget, making it so that he had to hire the no-name actress Audrey Hepburn. We all know that turned out to be a great decision! She wound up winning the Oscar for Best Actress that year.
And that’s all for your film history lesson today, haha!
I hope you all had a great day!
