I worked a long shift on registers today, but it went by pretty quickly because it was SO busy! At one point the line was snaking into the rest of the store. I guess that’s to be expected working retail the weekend before Christmas!

After work two of my coworkers and I went bowling. None of us were very good, so it was a lot of fun. We put up funny names too (I feel like that’s almost obligatory when bowling).
We played two rounds then popped into see one of our coworkers who’s band was playing in the bar area of the bowling alley. I didn’t even know bowling alleys could have bars.

After that we went to get french fries in town and just chatted for a while. It was really nice to get to know them better, especially since I’m still a bit of the new girl. It turns out I went to the same high school at the same time as one of the girls. She is younger than me, so we didn’t have any classes together, but being from a small town I always thought I would recognize anyone from my high school. I guess I was (am?) more self involved than I realized. But she didn’t recognize me either, so it was okay.

Now my brother is home for Christmas! He just came in, so it’s time to wrap this post up.
