I bought a red lip color yesterday, so naturally I had to pair it with a striped shirt and pretend that I live in France. I’ve talked about them before, but the Revlon Balm Stains are my absolute favorite lip colors. I hate lipstick because it smells bad, and rubs off, and gets on your teeth ( I know this is a generalization, but wearing actual lipstick always stresses me out). These balm stains are amazing. They feel like chapstick, but they have the pigmentation of a lipstick if you build them. I can eat with them on and, because they’re also a stain, even though the product comes off, a nice color remains. The one I wore today was in the color Romantic.
Their one downfall is the packaging. The caps tend to come off. I keep them in the change pocket of my purse, and I’ve had to clean it out a few times now because they smeared all over everything.
As for my outfit, it was really inspired entirely by the lip color. Sometimes I find it easier to plan an outfit out of one thing. It helps to narrow my closet down so that I’m not trying on seven outfits before running out the door late, and still unsatisfied.
But, much more important than my outfit, today was my mom’s birthday!
I love her so much and I am so lucky to have her in my life.
She’s my biggest fan and best supporter on here, and in all aspects of my life. She’s also a great editor- she always catches the typos that I miss!
