24 Hours in Manhattan

  • Mar 12, 2019

Last week my friend Kristen and I went to New York for the INSPR X Tezza event.

We took the train into the city Thursday and spent the day going to all the most photogenic spots in the city to create as much content as we could.
Kristen has a fashion Instagram and killer style, so we were shooting a few different looks for collaborations she had with different brands.

I was just along for the ride, throwing outfits together last minute and trying my best dredge up some amount of creativity. Since going into photography full time, I spend a lot less energy on my outfits. When I started this blog my outfits were one of my only creative outlets, so I would spend hours trying on different combinations of things.
I still like doing that every once in a while, but especially in the winter I just want to be warm and comfortable!
Thankfully, this day in New York was 40 degrees, so we were feeling pretty toasty for a February day!

We spotted this ice cream shop on our way to a different spot that was supposed to have a floral arrangement out front and I’m so glad we did because when we got to our destination it was closed for the season!
Then this little cupcake shop where we shot Kristen’s next look was right down the street!

From SoHo we headed to our hotel in Manhattan and went to be fancy in Central Park at Bethesda Terrace. It was a total dream and we just kept making Gossip Girl references the entire time.

After that we headed to the rooftop of our hotel, The Empire Hotel, and got the coolest shots of Kristen under their red neon sign!

I had such a great time in New York and I actually can’t wait to go back! I had been to the city a few times before and never loved it, but now that I got to experience it as a photographer I finally get the hype!
