It doesn’t feel like I did much today, but now that I think about I actually did.
I had breakfast with my mom, dad, Seth, and Pat, then I worked for eight hours, oh wait, before breakfast I got a desk for my room (yay!), then I picked up dinner and went home.
I wish I had a picture of my desk to post. It’s so pretty! It’s a French style with a curved front and spindly legs.
The paint is all peeling off, so I’m probably going to have to sand it down and repaint it. But because of it’s condition I got it for only $40! Yay craigslist!
That’s really the most exciting thing that happened today. Nothing out of the ordinary happened at work.
It feels good to be writing again, I’ve missed it these past few days. I haven’t been writing because I haven’t been wearing anything other than my work uniform. I also haven’t been doing anything other than working, so…
Except I did have an interview at TJMaxx on Thursday for a sales associate position. I think it went well, but the woman interviewing me said she had a lot of applicants, so I’ll just have to wait and see. I didn’t get to say everything I wanted to because I got nervous and clammed up a bit. I wanted to mention how I really liked the company as a whole and how I had visited corporate headquarters and would love to work there when I graduate, I even had an opportunity to say it! I’m really kicking myself in the butt right now.
Anyway, I would have posted the outfit I wore that day because it was actually nice and I liked it, except that it was the exact same outfit that I wore in this post. If it’s not broken why fix it, right?
I did wear a nice outfit tonight when I went to pick up dinner. Now I’m not so weird that I got dressed up for that (although let’s not lie, I wouldn’t put that past myself). Originally we had planned on going out to dinner, but then we lost our steam, so we just decided to pick it up and eat in. I had already changed, so I just stayed in what I was wearing.
Please ignore my lack of shoes. I did wear shoes, but for some reason it didn’t seem important enough to me to photograph them. Yeah…
The shirt is from the JLO collection at Kohls (and it’s on sale now!), and the jeans are from Express (I used a thirty dollar off coupon that I found on http://www.retailmenot.com).
Here’s the detailing on the shirt. I love the orange sequins, which I weird because I usually don’t like orange. They remind me of peaches or silk taffeta in the way they shine, which reminds me that I am pretty sure saw a woman wearing a hot purple taffeta bomber jacket at the beach today. It was very strange.
Also, I figured out how to maneuver my tripod today, so maybe in the near future I will actually have some pictures that are not pathetic mirror shots. Yay!
And that’s all for this post!
I hope you all had a wonderful day!
